All aspects of your foundation from the outside and inside of the home will be examined. Elevation readings are taken and a diagram is created with these elevation readings. Then an explanation of what has happened (usually soil movement) and how the installation of  support structures under your foundation will resist the movement of soil.

What is the best foundation repair method?

Foundation repair methods can vary significantly in price and quality. There are plenty of low cost operators that basically operate out of the back of a pickup truck. Obviously the lowest cost methods are also the lowest quality. High quality foundation repair methods (drilled piers or Bell Bottom Piers) cost more because they require more time, more concrete, more steel rebar, and more labor.

How many repair methods does your company offer?

Two foundation repair methods are offered.  The lower quality pressed pile repair method is sometimes used to improve load capacity with a unique construction method.  Voids also filled under the concrete slab, which is a service that only a few companies provide.  The Highest Quality foundation repair method is available – drilled piers with a belled foot, known as Bell Bottom Piers.

If I notice signs of foundation movement and damage how long can I wait before beginning repairs?

Sooner is much better than later.  Foundations are continually put under stress because of changes in weather and the changes in moisture content of the soil.  The soil expands and shrinks during the year so the concrete slab foundation will be subjected to settlement and upheaval.

I have plants and shrubs around my home.  How will you deal with them?

It is necessary to remove some plants and shrubs that are located in the work area. They will be temporarily planted in a different location around the house.  Once the repair job is completed all bushes and shrubs will be replanted in their original locations.  Everything will be done to ensure the survival of the plants but sometimes the hot weather is too stressful for the plants.
